Privacy Policy & Terms of Service.

How we collect, use, and protect information — and how to opt out or make a privacy request.

Effective date: March 20, 2026

Data Laboratory LLC (“Data Laboratory,” “Data Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a variety of data, marketing, hygiene, and analytics products (the “Services”) designed to help for-profit and not-for-profit organizations market their own products and services or to assist their end user customers in marketing their products and services. Our solutions, many of which are described on this website, are used via direct mail, email, online and other marketing channels.

We take very seriously the privacy interests of the individuals whose information we handle and maintain in our databases. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit our website, contact us, or otherwise engage with our data products and services, and what rights consumers have to control how their information is used in marketing. We may update this policy from time to time; the revised version will be posted here with an updated effective date.

Who we are

Data Laboratory provides data licensing, audience lists, the app.DataLaboratory.ai audience platform, API and MCP access, and related professional services. Our website is operated for business and informational purposes. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at support@datalaboratory.com, by phone at (801) 901-8870, or by mail at 1411 W 1250 S Suite #102, Orem, UT 84058, USA.

Information we collect

Website visitors and business contacts

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Contact and account information — such as name, company, job title, email address, phone number, and mailing address when you submit forms, request demos, subscribe to communications, sign up for events or newsletters, or contract with us.
  • Commercial and technical information — such as project requirements, delivery preferences, billing details (processed in accordance with applicable agreements), and limited technical data from your browser or device (for example, the domain name and IP address of your browser, a time stamp, device type, and general location derived from IP).
  • Usage information — what content and pages you access on our website and how you interact with them (for instance, time spent reviewing a particular page or description of our services).
  • Cookies and similar technologies — small data files or tags used to remember preferences, maintain security, measure site performance, and understand how visitors use our pages. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
  • Communications — the content of emails, calls, or messages you send us, including support and sales correspondence, survey responses, and requests for information.
  • Offline information — if you provide information “offline” (for example, your business card at a trade show), we will maintain it and use it for marketing and business purposes.

Information in our data products

In order to provide our Services, we receive data, including personal information about consumers and businesses, from a variety of sources, including public records, national data compilers, and our own customers. That information is sourced and used under agreements and applicable law. Use of our licensed data is governed by your contract with us and its permitted purposes — not by this website policy alone — and by the permitted-use terms below.

How we use information

We use the information described above to:

  • Respond to inquiries, provide quotes, and deliver services you request;
  • Operate, secure, and improve our website and internal business processes;
  • Send administrative messages, contractual notices, and (where permitted) marketing you can opt out of;
  • Comply with law, enforce our terms, and protect our rights and those of our users;
  • Analyze aggregated or de-identified usage to understand trends (without attempting to re-identify individuals for incompatible purposes).

How we share information

We do not sell the personal information we collect from website visitors and business contacts in exchange for money. We may disclose that information:

  • To service providers who assist us (e.g., hosting, email delivery, CRM, analytics) under confidentiality and processing terms;
  • To professional advisers, regulators, or law enforcement when required or reasonably necessary;
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards;
  • With your direction or as otherwise described at the time of collection.

Retention and security

We retain information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by data category and context.

We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we encourage you to use strong passwords and caution when sharing sensitive information by email.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of your personal information, or to object to certain uses. To exercise these rights, follow the instructions in Do Not Sell / opt-out requests below, or email support@datalaboratory.com. We will respond consistent with applicable law and may need to verify your request.

Marketing emails include instructions to unsubscribe. You may also adjust cookie preferences through your browser.

California and “do not sell / share” rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended, may grant you the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion of personal information subject to exceptions, to correct inaccurate personal information, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (as those terms are defined under California law), including certain uses of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Residents of other states with comparable privacy laws may have similar rights.

To submit an opt-out or other privacy request, use the instructions below. You may designate an authorized agent where permitted by law; we may require proof of authorization. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights afforded by law.

Children, international visitors, and third-party links

Children’s privacy. Our services and website are directed to businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 through this site. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

International visitors. We are based in the United States. If you access our site from other countries, your information may be processed in the U.S. and other locations where we or our providers operate. We take steps as appropriate for cross-border transfers required by applicable law.

Third-party links. Our website may link to third-party sites or services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their policies before providing information.

Changes to this policy. We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The effective date at the top indicates when it was last revised. Material changes may be communicated through the website or by other reasonable means.

By using Data Laboratory’s Products and Services, you agree that you will use your best efforts to prevent the misuse or unauthorized use of the Products and Services by any third person or entity. You further agree that Data Laboratory Products and Services shall not be used:

  • To disassemble, de-compile, reverse engineer, modify, or otherwise alter the Products and Services or any part thereof
  • To access data not intended for your use as described in your MSA or Statements of Work with Data Laboratory
  • For consumer credit purposes, underwriting consumer insurance, employment purposes, tenant screening purposes, for any other purpose covered by the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act or for any other purpose not expressly authorized under these Terms
  • To create, send, or display pornography, sexually explicit, lewd, or grossly offensive content, or campaigns promoting or supporting terrorism or violent extremism
  • For any purpose that violates the privacy or data protection rights of any person
  • For any communication that refers to selection criteria or presumed knowledge about the recipient

Do Not Sell My Personal Information — opt-out and privacy requests

Under certain U.S. state privacy laws — including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended — residents may have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, and to request access to or deletion of personal information we hold. Separately, anyone may ask us to suppress their records from our marketing databases. We honor opt-out requests and suppress the matching records across every database.

How to submit a request

Call (801) 901-8870 or email support@datalaboratory.com with the subject line “Opt-Out Request.” We need to collect some personal information to process your request; it will be used only for that purpose. Please include:

  • Your full legal name
  • Your postal address, email address, and phone number, so we can locate and suppress your records
  • Your state of residence (if you are submitting a rights request under state law)
  • The type of request: opt out of sale/sharing, suppression from our marketing databases, access (know), deletion, correction, or other (please specify)
  • Any details that help us locate your information — for example, the email you used on our contact form or in prior correspondence

We will confirm receipt and respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. We may need reasonable information to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. If we cannot verify you, we may deny the request to the extent permitted by law.

Authorized agents

Where allowed by law, you may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. The agent should provide signed written permission or a power of attorney, and we may contact you to confirm the request. We may deny requests from agents who do not submit proof of authorization.

Non-discrimination

We will not deny services, charge different prices, or provide a different level of service solely because you exercised a privacy right afforded by applicable law, unless the difference is reasonably related to the value of your data as permitted by statute.
